Aussie Rules - Jill Shalvis

Description~
Mel and Dimi were only 16 when their world fell apart, and for the past 10 years, the young women have been pretending to themselves and everyone else that their mentor and role model, Sally, will be back any time now to resume control of the airport where they've been covering for her all this time. But when Bo Black unexpectedly arrives from Australia looking for Sally to exact vengeance for her theft of his father's hard-earned money and prized antique plane, the deception becomes more than the girls can handle. Especially when threatening notes and e-mails reveal that the deed to the airport is now in Bo's name, so that everything Mel and Dimi have worked so hard for is now in jeopardy.

Yet another cute one from JS!

Mel and Dimi looked up to Sally. Sally owns the airport (or so they thought) that Mel (the airplane flying tomboy)now manages. The girls both basically had no home life and even though were opposites, bonded immediately...both with each other and with Sally. Sally runs off one day to follow a man she deemed to be in love with while the girls took over. 10 years later Sally has yet to have returned. But one day outta the blue Bo Black arrives stating HE owns Anderson Air and demands to see Sally. Why does Bo have the deed to the airport...why did Sally change her phone number...and why can't Mel seem to keep her clothes on while around Bo???

Was this the BEST book ever...no...was it enjoyable...and totally worth reading...sure it was...HELLO JILL SHALVIS WROTE IT! ;op~

One of the first things I liked about this book was that Mel and Dimi were from two different worlds yet still had such a connection and friendship. Dimi being the typical pretty girl got men wherever she went and didn't even have to try while Mel actually wasn't interested. She preoccupied her time with learning to fly! The two girls both had hardships growing up and both sets of parents seemed to have left the girls and so they attached to each other and formed a great bond and friendship!

Dimis story ALONE kept me into the book! Dimi had a self destructive lifestyle! Man after man after man...drink after drink and she still wasnt satisfied. Dimi led a stressful life and when things got tough the girl got loosey goosey! lol BUT when she started to notice a fellow co-worker Danny things started to get onto he right track. :o) That story alone was great and I really felt fro Dimi!

Another great thing is...omg Bo...he was super hot! An Aussie...HELLO?!?! Bo was faithful to a fault and never lied to Mel. I loved how he liked Mel a lot but tried to stay away from her. BUT unfortunately (or fortunately for us) he couldnt! ;o) Their sex was pretty dang HAWT! ;o) lol

BUT unfortunately thats the biggest part that carried me through the story. Like I said...was it cute? Yes...was it enough to get me by...ummm...ya BUT there was just something missing. IDK really what it was but thats what made me knock a few marks off. Otherwise it was a pretty cute read! :o)

I give this book a total of...

Jill Shalvis is great, I'm sort of curious about her "brazen" harlequin series. I've never read a harlequin book....I'm too embarrassed to be seen purchasing them!! lmao How is that any different than others..idk???

I can see that happening. I liked this book but from all I have read of hers it is the weakest. But I still enjoyed myself.
