Dev works hard for these kids knowing what they are going through b/c he is one of them. At the foundation, Dev has no time for play or women...until one gets dropped off unconscious in his front yard.

Katya wakes up to Dev asking her questions she can't answer...even forgets who she is. Scared and alone Katya is very different from the Psy we've all met before. She seems not to mind feelings or touch as much as her fellow Psy. Although Katya is scared and frightened she is a strong woman wanting to fight against the dreaded Ming LeBon. LeBon has been torturing Katya and she fears she was sent to Dev for a certain purpose...what that purpose is...she can't remember. As feelings strengthen Katya's memories grow strong and she soon realizes she basically living out a death sentence. Knowing Katya can finish her mission and die at any second scares Dev! This turns into a race of time! Can Dev save Katya before she finishes out her mission that very well could be to bring down the Shine Foundation or even worse...kill Dev?

I loved this book! Like many Psy/Changeling books it jumps right in with the action and romance! Dev and Katya are such a special couple and I found myself rooting for them from start to finish! I read around and seen that some people didn't care for this couple but for me it was perfect! Dev isn't a changeling (and normally I prefer my hero's in this series to be) but boy is he just as fierce as any animal out there! He protect Katya and every cost! An this just didn't happen once they became more acquainted...it was from the start! =) I loved it!

And like all the other books in this series we go deeper into the world that is the Psy! I never find myself bored reading about Psy b/c they are ruthless killers that keep your attention! Ming LeBon is among one of the few I've wanted to get his and let me tell you...if you've been waiting for him to get his snotty butt kicked...well you wait no longer! Punk totally got served in this book! lol I was happy with the ending (even though some may object).

Lastly I have to say (once again) that I love how NS keeps you "part of the pack" by letting you back into the lives of all the past couples. I always love visiting my favs from past books and seeing where they are in their lives. Oh and I wont say b/c it would be a spoiler BUT for those of you that have read it...how about the surprise at the end...->highlight this spoiler-> I loved the kids bringing her back! I was totally excited b/c I feel like this is digging even deeper and opening doors for us to figure out new things with the Changelings and Psy that they weren't even aware of!

Over all this book was wonderful and I'm seriously counting down the days for the next drop of some Psy/Changeling goodness! ;)

*giggles like a little girl...ok ok Ive had it. I dont know if I can do audio books anymore!!! The voices are NEVER right and they simply CRACK ME UP! So furthermore I wont judge the book by its reader (Im not hating on her I just think Im better off making the voices up in my head as I read) but by its content! ;)

Sarah Stevens is a bodyguard/butler for a old geezer that she adores to no end. She likes her simple life and has a plan to one day travel the world! Sarah makes good money, has one day off a week, her own living quarters and a nice fat paycheck...one thing she doesn't have (and doesn't really want) is love. But that's ok with her...things are going swimmingly...until there's a break in and Sarah meets the hothead detective Thomas Cahill.

Cahill can tell Sarah isn't the usual butler...heck she's a WOMAN butler...that right there proves her to be one of a kind. He reluctantly keeps his paws to himself after questioning her but little did he know their paths are soon to meet again. One day Sarah comes home to kind her employers and dear friend shot in the head! She frantically calls Cahill and the investigation starts.

Cahill can't help but wonder if Sarah had anything to do with this murder...even more so when her NEW employer and his wife end up dead! But once Cahill and Sarah get close there's trust that should shine through...right...??? Does Cahill REALLY think Sarah could have anything to do with her employers bodies showing up with holes in their heads? Do the murders have anything to do with the mysterious and expensive gift Sarah received in the mail???

This story was a hoot! The characters pissed you off, lit you on fire, then drenched you with water to cool you off!!!! Oh and btw those are all good things here! ;) This story if jam packed with action, murder, romance...and you even get a glimpse of a killers mind. Don't pass over this book b/c it seems all mystery/murder b/c you'll be sorry! This IS Linda Howard after all and shes one hot romance writer! So go out and get this one!

Hopefully this review left you DYING to buy the book! lol (<- cheesy I know...but I just had to ;p)

Alright...Ive seen this lady around and heard TONS of great things! So when I had a friend send me one of her books I jumped at the chance to see what all the hubbub was about!

This book was adorable! It made me giggle, gave me surprises, and made me a bit hot under the collar! ;) I can see why Gena gets all the attention!

Here we have plain Jane Julie Anderson. Julie finds a jewelry box at a flea market and once she gets home tries to pry the old dusty things open...and like Genie with Aladdin POOF! Her enters Julian.

Tristan lived in Imperia long long ago. He was a great lover to many but one day a woman took things too far and cursed him by making him a pleasure (love) slave. He was doomed to live in his jewelry box for eternity moving from master to master as a sex slave.

Once Julie and Tristan meet and Tristian tries to tell himself shes just like every other master hes had but deep down he knows shes VERY different. She doesn't command, doesn't take advantage of his body and treats him like the man he wishes he could be. If only he could lover her...but if he did the curse would eb broken and he would return to Imperia to forever be without his heart.

So like I said I can truly see why Gena is so popular! This book was great! Not only was it hot to trot but it made me laugh! I just loved how Tristan wasn't used to Julies time...making nasty coffee, "killing" the phone, and ripping up his underwear to make a sheath for his knife! lol This is only a few ways that Tristan kept me entertained! lol

Julie...oh poor Julie is the classic case of plain girl with no self confidence! She's been burned before and ever since then has shied away from men. When she meets Tristan shes totally intimidated but he soon teaches her that she is a diamond in the rough (hey...whats with all my Aladdin references??? lol Well I did just get back from Disney ;). Anyways...she soon finds that she is a woman that is sexy in her own skin (which is something I always love in my heroins revelations).

This book overall was a really light, amusing and sexy to no end! There is another side story between Tristan's old master and a man that wants her that catches your attention as well. I think Gena juggles both story lines and intertwines them perfectly! =) Im SO glad I picked this book and and will be venturing even further into Gena's books ASAP!

This happens to be my first Harlequin!!! Yay me! I have to admit that I once thought that these books were hokey and for old chicks...I know I know but I was TOTALLY proven wrong! lol

We meet Ashley...she is divorced and owns a few new chichi boutiques! =)

This was the perfect book to pop my Harlequin cherry! ;) Ashley HATES...absolutely HATES flying but when David sits next to her on one of her many business trips all things start to head for the Mile High Club.

David is a (I forget what you call it) but a numbers guy in business's! lol He tells them all what they should do to get ahead in their company etc. David is also divorced (and let me tell you his story is a B-U-R-N) and has no plans for a love affair but when he sits near this bombshell Ashley he cant help but think of getting her near a bed!

Oh darn...looks like the plane wont get to take off after all. So what better to do then to shack up for a one nighter with a hot bod laying next to you! ;) Ashley and David never knew what hit them after this long night of lovin' and obviously when things leave all was well but they couldn't help but think of each other and soon form a bond. Meeting state to state though soon took a toll of them and when push comes to shove can they handle a relationship...is it something they even want?!?!? What happens when they leave the bedroom and real life calls?

I LOVED THIS STINKING BOOK! It had so many facets for being such a small gem. I loved that each character had their faults and issues yet by the end of the book all was well. The sex was HOT HOT HOT and and their dialogue was superb! I loved how the was quarky in ways like Ashley would hear her overbearing/extremely needy little sisters voice in her head! I looks at it as her internal demons! lol You'll understand as you read the book! Ashley and her family had ISSUES! As did David! David and his brother had a KING of issues! I don't want to give anything away but lets say that he too has to come past a lot of hurt within his family!

Overall I thought this book TOTALLY hit the spot in every way! Was it erotica? No...was it just about as hot...HECK YA and it still had heart! LOVED IT! =)

I dont care what people say about the Dark Hunter books...Im still enjoying them! I can see someone getting tired of them if they read them back to back but a month or so in between readings is a perfect fit! =)

I have to say I really loved Alexion and Danger! Danger was wronged a long time ago (obviously) and so she doesnt trust men AT ALL! She too gets somewhat persuaded by Stryker so Alexion has to get her to trust him and trust that Ash is one of the good guys. Along the way to trust the two totally fall in love! =)

Alexions story is great! ***SPOILER***He was human, died, then his wife got his soul back ONLY TO DROP IT b/c she didnt want him back! What a heifer! Needless to say Ash felt horrible so he enlisted him to be his second in command and take out judgment on any Dark Hunters that are acting questionable.

Danger took her dagger from Alexion's hand, then, without thought, touched the ragged tear in his shirt. He felt solid underneath. Real. There was cold skin beneath the silk and wool fabric and it was hard and masculine. Yet human beings didn't shatter like Daimons and no Daimon reappeared after death...

Alexion ground his teeth at the sensation of her soft fingers on his flesh. His body roared to life as he watched her examine him like a scientist with a lab experiment that had gone tragically wrong. No more than five two or three, Dangereuse was petite and athletic. There had been something about her that caught his interest. An innocence that still seemed to be inside her. Most Dark-Hunters were jaded by their human betrayals and deaths, and by their duties. But this one... She appeared to have avoided the cynicism that eternal life often brought.

Of course, she was young by Dark-Hunter years.

Her dark, chestnut colored hair was worn in a long braid, down her back, but pieces of it had escaped to curl becomingly around her face. Her features were angelic and delicate. If not for her carriage and self-assuredness, she would have appeared fragile.

And yet there was nothing fragile about her. Dangereuse could more than take care of herself and he knew that well. As one of the newer Dark-Hunters, she was only a couple of hundred years old and had died while trying to save the noble half of her family from the guillotine in France during their revolution. It had been a monumental task she had set for herself and if not for being betrayed, she would have succeeded.

Not to mention the woman had the most kissable mouth he'd ever seen. Full and lush, her lips were the kind that a man dreamed of tasting at night. That mouth beckoned him now with temptation and the promise of pure unadulterated heaven.

She also smelled of sweet magnolias and woman. It had been over two hundred years since he'd last had the pleasure of a woman's body. And it was all he could do not to bend his head down and bury his face against her soft, tender neck and inhale the scent of her. Feel the softness of her skin against his hungry lips as he tasted the supple flesh there.

Oh, to have her lithe body pressed up against his, preferably naked...

But then given her first reaction to his presence, he didn't think she'd react much better to being mauled by him.

Pity.

Overall this book is all about trust and two people finally coming out on top in life! =) The sex scenes were HAWT, there was plenty of fighting action, and we got to see a bit more into Ash's past! If you havent picked up any of these books yet you really should! they cant touch the Black Dagger Brother books in my eyes BUT they are very comparable. You wont be let down!

Ok...yes I am alive...but only barely! lol Ive had SUCH a busy few weeks let me tell you...most importantly my mom came to visit! =) Shes moving to Alaska this week so I was happy to get to spend quality time with her!

Ok so ya back to the program...

WE pick right up after Anna and Charles have mated and married! They are still getting used to each other but things are going pretty good! Bran is still pushing for the weres to come out in the open but not everyone is gung-ho! Soooooo...they are having this huge meeting in which all the head honchos are to attend. Things start going wrong when people start coming up either dead or attacked! Charles is uber protective of his Anna...even more so when SHE almost gets taken by a group of vamps! Whos doing all the killing? And why are the vamps involved in were business? Most importantly why are fingers starting to point to Charles???

This book was great! It was action packed! I really didnt expect all the things that went on with the vamps being involved and such! A witch fae is also involved and let me tell you she gets hers! ;) Theres tons of fighting, biting, and hunting going on in this book! Oh did I mention King Author is in this one??? LOL! Ya you just have to read it to know what Im talking about! ;)

I really felt like in this book Charles and Anna start to become more of a normal couple! I love how protective of Anna he is and also the other way around. At a few points Anna feels either a fae or just a female in general show interest in Charles and she lets them know whats up! Charles of course LOVES the attention b/c it shows how much shes growing in their relationship.

I love Anna! Shes been through so much and yet perseveres through it every time! She really starting to come into her own skin with being an Omega and even meets another of her kind!!! There was so much character development in this book that it totally leave you wanting more more more!

I cant wait to see how the "coming out" will end up working! I felt the meeting didnt get much of anywhere b/c of all the killings and kidnapping so Im sure we still have a few books to go!

“Ah.” He hadn’t known that. Anna must have done it while he’d been out trying to outrun his frustrations.
“She told me I wasn’t hearing what you were saying,” Da said. “I told her that I heard you tell me quite clearly that I was an idiot for going to Seattle to meet with the European delegation — as did most of the rest of the pack.”
Tactful, that’s me, thought Charles, who decided sipping his cocoa was better than opening his mouth.
“And I asked him if you were in the habit of arguing with him without a good reason,” said Anna breezily as she slipped by his father and brushed against Charles. She was wearing his favorite brown sweater. On her it hung halfway down her thighs and buried her shape in cocoa-colored wool. Brother Wolf liked it when she wore his clothes. She should have looked like a refugee, but somehow she didn’t. The color turned her skin to porcelain and brought out rich highlights in her light brown hair. It also emphasized her freckles — which he adored. She hopped up on the counter and purred happily as she snagged the cocoa he’d made for her.
“And then she hung up,” said his father in disgruntled tones.
“Mmm,” said Anna. Charles couldn’t tell if she was responding to the hot chocolate or his father.
“And she refused to pick up the phone when I called back.”
His father wasn’t pleased. Not so comfortable having someone around who doesn’t instantly obey you, old man? Charles thought — just as his father met his eye. Bran’s sudden laugh told Charles that his da wasn’t really upset.
“Frustrating,” Charles ventured.
“He yelled at me,” Anna said serenely, tapping her forehead. The Marrok could speak to any of his wolves mind to mind, though he couldn’t read their thoughts no matter how much it felt like that was what he was doing. He was just damnably good at reading people.
“I ignored him, and he went away eventually.”
“No fun fighting someone who doesn’t fight back,” Charles said.

HA! lol I love how feisty shes getting! Ok go get this book if you havent! Ms. Briggs is the BOMB at everything she writes! ;)

As many of you have probably realized I dont read a ton of erotica books. BUT I do have many...let me repeat that...MANY MANY friends who persuade me to do so! ;) MY bff'ers Ames recently sent me this naughty little package FILLED with persuasive reading material! lol!!! I guess thats just what friends are for huh?!?! Ive read Megan Hart before but not Lauren Dane and when I asked Ames which to start with she said Taking Care of Business! And boy let me tell you...*ahem...it REALLY took care of business! lol

Here we have two small, main stories braided into one seamless hot book! Leah and Kate have been friends since childhood. Both girls are in the big corporate world so love is somewhat on the last of their 'To Do' list...hot lovin' however is NOT! Lol I say the girls arent into relationships but Leah actually got out of one (sorta...it was more of an odd sexual relationship where he made her submit to him at every turn). Right after the breakup Leah meets Kate at a conference where both girls seem to meet their matches!

Kate met Dix (no pun intended...did you just snicker?) a while back and has had a few quickies in some hotel rooms. When face to face at the conference both are smacked in the face with the reality that Kate is moving closer which begs the question of will their be more than hot hotel sex! I felt this relationship had a bit of lack of communication! Kate was pretty sure she wanted something more yet didnt think Dix could handle it with his needy (and very annoying) ex-wife and two kids! And Dix just thought she was in it for the fun!

Jumping back to Leah...well she meets this HOT manager guy named Brandon. Brandon recently got out of a long relationship and is working hard hours to make this snippy corporate barbiedoll happy at the hotel...said woman (Leah) has other things that need tending too and it isn't just how many pens and pencils are on the conference room table! ;) This relationship was interesting...Leah has issues that run along with her ex. Like I said he expected her to be a submissive puppy dog for so long she wanted to turn the tables! And boy did she!!! YOWZA! Lets jsut say...someone gets tied up! lol Dont we all love those kinda books?!?!

Overall this book was a hot little hoot! It was all about overcoming insecurities and getting what you want out of your relationship! It was entertaining at every turn! You were either laughing, getting hot and bothered, or getting emotional over all the insecurities.

Getting hot and bothered TOO MUCH was my problem! lol The only downfall in erotica in general is I sometimes feel that I not getting too much more than lust. Idk maybe it was just this book...liek I said I dont read a ton of erotica. Ive read another Megan Hart book before and it had so much relationship in it that I thought it was very equally balanced! This one however wsnt...BUT dont let me sway you the wrong way! This book burnt my hands while holding it! I cant even put up a snippet! lol I think I blushed the entire time reading this! lol

So ya overall I will be reading the second one (No Reservations) to see how the story continues! And thanks Ames! lol I will FOREVER remember this gem! ;)

Ok sexual tension is the theme in this little gem of a book! If youve read the prior two books in this trilogy youve met the Wilder boys! And 'Yum' doesnt begin to describe these wild child's!

TJ and Harley have know each other for years! TJ wants...but cant have! lol Harley has been forced to grow up quick...taking care of her younger sister and helping out her parents. Shes geld back a lot in her life but now shes reaching out for what she wants in life...a big job...in a different city. When TJ is thrown into a temporary working relationship with Harley he starts to get hot and bothered by his wanting...a fling starts into a relationship...but will Harley stay and gave up her big dreams in the big city...and what about the unknown person shooting innocent animals on her turf???

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I have to say it wasn't my MOST FAV but it was second in the line of all three!

Give back and forth in this book was amazing! lol Both had sparky personalities yet still oozed sexiness! lol Obviously like all romances both parties tried to fight their love for each other! But ALSO like others they fail miserably! lol

TJ is a man who totally avoids everything "real" in his life....love, failure and responsibility are sorta low on his list of 'To Do's'. But when he gets back around the one gal who awakens the man in him he doenst know what to think. I love these sorta stories...wild boy gone straight!

The thing is Harley plans on moving if she gets this big shot job in the city and that means leaving her family that she supports and TJ behind. Harley is totally stuck in between a rock and a hard place! Once she finally realizes she cant ignore her feelings for TJ (btw he realizes it WAY before her lol) she finds herself confused about what she really wants. Shes been taking treks with TJ working part him for Wilder Adventures and LOVING IT! So being stuck in an office all day is beginning to not look so well.

The best part of this story for me is that its so real. Here you have Harley...a girl whos always been in love with a guy thats totally out of her reach (btw *SPOILER* he was her first...he used to be wild in high school and drunkingly had sex with her) and she torn because now hes showing interest at the WRONG TIME...then you have TJ...a wild child gone straight. Scared of his strong feeling for the girl hes always looked at in big way!

Oh btw I forgot to mention...in the background there are some dudes killing animals and getting in the way of Harley working. Not the biggest or most interesting part of the story so I couldve done without that but eh, whatever! ;o)

So overall this was a great finish to the Wilder Brothers Trilogy/ Im really sad to say goodbye to these guys but everything good must come to an end! lol Btw Cam is still my fav! ;o)

I must admit…this is a typical Jenny Crusie book…quirky yet lovable character falls for uptight and snooty counter part! Lol BUT BUT BUT it totally works! JC NEVER gets old to me and in this little gem she shines!

Linc (like I said) is a bit snooty and uptight. He has lied to a potential employer about his marital status to get a teaching job at a college! Linc is frantically trying to think of just the right woman to pose as his wife…in walks Daisy. Daisy is Lincs erratic upstairs neighbor whos recently quit her job to peruse painting! When Daisy sees this as an opportunity to get the rent paid she jumps on board with Linc and his charade! Little did both know that a bit of each other ends up rubbing off and they find themselves dealing with a love that runs deeper than any façade. What happens when time runs out on their Cinderella Deal??? Will the shoe fit or will all be forgotten at the stroke of midnight?

This was such an adorable book! Ok so like you read above Daisy decides to take Linc up on his offer. So they go down to the college, introduce her to everyone and he gets the gig! Great right…WRONG! After he gets the job and moves they both sorta start to miss each others company. They fought constantly but it only made them bend to each others different ways. Well so when people start to ask around where his wife is he starts to question if he should make the jump to REALLY marry her…WHICH HE DOES! Lol I just knew this was a recipe for disaster b/c how would you marry someone for a year then split without a thought…well you don’t! The story quickly turns into Daisy and Linc not only falling in love with the town and its people but with each other! :*)

I love books where opposites attract and this one is a prime example. Linc and Daisy made such a funny couple! Linc is very traditional and plain so when that meets up with Daisys wild and outrages personality things go haywire! From the wedding planning, the in-laws and the animals this book was a wild little ride!

My fav part~ Daisy being the artist she is decides to “redecorate” their house…well when Linc gets home he sees all this holey furniture and crazy colors. He TOTALLY flips hurting Daisys feelings. This is a great overall example of the book b/c once he realizes how hes hurt Daisy (by seeing what those things meant to her) he made amends. He learned to think outside the box and see beauty where it truly is…from within.

Daisy crawls her way into his heart in more ways than one. She takes care of his sick mother, and him when hes sick, his students come over to help her around the house or to just hang out, and she even gets to be close friends with the deans wife! By the end of the book she starts to be who she thinks everyone else wants her to be but Linc shows her he loves her how she is! :o) This book warmed my heart but also made me laugh (like JC always does)!

Gosh…it seems like it’s taken me FOREVER to get back to these books! Now that I’ve dug back in im 100% addicted! ;o)

Last time we left Janelle she was tainted by being raped in that horrible hospital where her family sent her. We also lost both our men (Daemon and Lusivar) to prisons. Daemon is lost in the Twisted Kingdom while Lusivar is in the salt mines wilting away.

We open up the story with Janelle still being damaged by coming to Cassandra’s alter in book one where she almost died. She fled for her life and shut out everyone refusing to come back into her own world. Finally they get Janelle well enough to come back to her own body yet we still see her damaged psychologically. Janelle is now under Setans care and he is determined to heal her emotional scars by bringing in her friends form the different worlds she has visited. At this point we get to see a ton of different characters that are both colorful and funny! Watching Janelle heal with her friends (that mind you she hasn’t seen in 2 years) was a wonderful experience.

And it was also nice to see some age going into everyone. We finally get to see and hear discussions that are showing Janelle’s age! Sex…boys and even beauty is brought up in this book and to me that really showed how true Bishop was trying to be to a young woman growing up…even if that young woman is growing up around demons and has supernatural powers! ;o) One of my favorite parts is where Setans catches Janelle reading a romance book! Lol I lol’d at that part b/c its so refreshing that you see that Janelle has a natural/normal side of just being a girl!

Lucivar ends up breaking out of the salt mines but is determined to find Deamon b/c he thinks that he killed Janelle! He extremely crushed that his Queen he was to serve died by his on brothers hands! He ends up getting hurts and Janelle comes to mend him. Then he realizes his mistake and stays with Janelle to serve her. I loved Janelle and Lucivars relationship! He gave her some tough love at many points of this book! He understood she had been raped but forced her to push through it to be the Queen he knew she needed to be. By the end Janelle (with the help of her family) sets up court!

All in the mean time poor Daemon is still living in the Twisted Kingdom actually LOOKING for Janelle. I think about 5 years passes in this second book so its really sad to bounce back from everyone living their lived then going to Daemon. Daemon feels like he has failed Janelle, the one he loves. Janelle is finally able to track down Daemons body and goes to the Twisted Kingdom to help him out. This part of the book was a big milestone for Janelle and Daemon. She ends up telling him she is the one who failed him and that eh needed to come home! :*) OH also at some point in the book she fights with someone about Daemon and she says he is her MATE! EPP! I got so excited! :o)

Ok well we end the story with Daemon FINALLY coming out of the Twisted Kingdom and Janelle setting up her court (which btw consists of her friends and family) :o). I cant wait for Janelle and Daemon to reunite in the 3rd book! Janelle is older and now she can take her man! ;o)

Its really hard to review these books b/c SO MUCH goes on in them. I did however find that this book was WAY easier to read than the first one. You really have to understand how their world works to understand the meaning of a ton of things in these books. Its NO easy reading…BUT once you grasp it, the effect of the book will leave you wanting more.

Lately ive been reading so many Paranormal and historical books that I felt I needed a break and wanted to jump back into real NORMAL people! Lol So I felt a great contemporary was in need! And when I need a great contemp I always look to Susan Donovan! In SD’s latest book Ain’t Too Proud to Beg I seriously was NOT let down!

You meet 35 year old obituary writer Joise Sheenhan. Josie has failed so many times at love b/c she seems to fall too quick! When she finally backs down and swears off men altogether is of course when she meets the man of her dreams! While interviewing an elderly lady about her deceased husband, Josie is urged to write down exactly what she wants in a man…and hope…and pray that she soon gets it! Lol Well the very same morning she does this she meets none other than Rick Rousseau. At the time Josie believes Rick to be a dog groomer but later finds out that he is a pet company CEO! (Rich can be checked off her list that’s for sure ;op) They fall for each other very easily but soon run into trouble when Ricks past comes into the mix!

One thing I loves about this story WAS Ricks past. It added seriousness to a story that was lighthearted. Rick used to be a total partier…drugs, alcohol and sex were always high on his list until one day he put a girl on the back of his motorcycle and killed her. Rick barely survived the crash. The girls father plays a side role in this story and surprisingly enough, even though he wants to kill Rick you feel for the man. He lost his child when she was very young and never truly got to grieve. A lot of the action in the book comes from Ricks story as hes trying to capture the man after his own life and survive while doing so.

Josies side of the story is somewhat pretty simple to grasp. She, for one, has to overcome the fact that noone can actually be perfect. Rick, on the outside, seems to be but underneath it all he has a past just like everyone else. When that past is revealed its takes Josie a lot to open up and accept him as he is. Rick is a changed man and she needs to see that.

Another thing I love about this story is that it’s a trilogy! Josie is part of a dog walking group! Each person in her group is very different! Each are very colorful and vary in age so these books will probably reach out to many people! The one person that seems to be linking into all the stories is the elderly lady from the beginning of the story! She knows when people are ready for love and kinda helps them along. So it was cute that this story had somewhat of a supernatural feel when it came to her! :o) She kinda reminded me of an angel of some sorts.

Overall this book rocked! It had everything I was needing…action…romance…and STEAMY STEAMY SEX! ;op~ I cant wait for the second one to come out!

Ok this is my first REAL Fantasy book Ive ever read and I have to say that it wasn’t an easy task at first to really grasp the story line.

Janelle is supposed to be the savior of the race (the Blood) that is controlled solely by women. The women in this world dominate with sex and control the men with (basically) energized cock-shock rings! (Sorry didn’t mean to sound so vulgar but that’s kinda what they are ;o) Janelle is being tutored with her magic by Saetan, the Lord of Hell. Saetan cares for Janelle vbery much…but where those feelings may lead idk. Im a little thrown off by his feelings for her b/c they seem to teeter between fatherly and male possessiveness. Saetan has proven a few times within this book where his loyalties lie, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to peruse more.

This would be a bit of a drama to deal with being his SON Daemon is absorbed with Janelle. He knows shes too young to be with him but in the mean time will do anything and everything to keep her safe. Daemon is pretty much a male whore that’s sole purpose is to pleasure and possibly impregnate the women of his kind. He always felt he had a larger purpose in life and he now knows her name is Janelle! :o) D is sent to watch over her family as a servant so this serves as a perfect situation to watch over her.

All seems to be ok on the outside but there is a darker being wanting to make sure Janelle doesn’t come into power as Witch. This is why it’s important to keep Janelle pure and innocent, yet powerful for as long as possible. But Janelle’s home life doesn’t support those ideas. They seem to think Janelle is mad and sends her to a psychiatric facility that doubles as a place where children are raped and abused…to be “broken”.

Can Janelle, only a small child, fight back against whats pulling her under? And can she truly trust the people around her to help???

Ok like I said I was a bit confused by this new world at first. I was a bunch of back and forth for the first quarter of the book and I didn’t feel connected like I normally do. BUT once Daemon and Janelle found each other things started to fall into place. I soon got hooked on this imaginary yet very dark world that Bishop has written about.

This was a great first book to a trilogy and I cant wait to continue with growing with Janelle and her powers. My heart goes out to Daemon and his somewhat unfeeling heart. Hes had a rough life but now has his heart desire right in front of him! Like I said I’m not really sure of Saetans intentions and if they are pure or not…after all he is the Lord of Hell! lol

Im truly glad I stuck with this book and have to thank my Ames fro placing this jewel into my hands! ;o)

Quite often I find that some of the best books are YA books. They are always action packed and yet light enough to where it doesn’t TOTALLY stress you out! I LOVE Richelle Mead’s Georgina Kincaid series so I thought Id give her YA book a whirl. And let me tell you what a good little start to a series!

Rose is a guardian to her best friend Lissa whom is a vamp. Well Lissa happens to be a very special vamp b/c she is the last in her blood line AND is a princess! 2 years ago Rose and Lissa were going to the Vampire Academy where Rose was learning to protect and Lissa to be a vamp when Rose felt things were getting dangerous so the girls left! You open up the story when the girls are getting caught by the schools guardians and taken back to the academy! Lissa has a very special power to heal and bring back to life…this is the problem b/c someone wants to use it to their advantage!

Like I said, YA books seem to always have this great feel to them and in this book Rose’s love for her best friend Lissa is what totally shins through. I LOVED the protectiveness of Rose! And you know its not just b/c she is Lissa’s guardian its b/c they have been through so much and are the best of friends! They have a bond and let me tell you its not JUST b/c Rose has fed Lissa…there’s much more to it that I wont give away!

OH and HELLO Demitri…lol he is also a guardian that Rose is TOTALLY hot for! And I have to admit I am too! lol He volunteered to help Rose in her fighting b/c she is so far behind due to her "absence". They soon form a bond that leaves them both confused and hot to the core! Dimitri's status makes it impossible for them to be together but will they proceed anyways?!?!

Lastly I must say that like MANY YA books I read this book is filled with action! People getting kidnapped, people leaving dead animals as threats and of course a ton of bad ass fighting! lol This book was super enjoyable and i cant wait to get my paws on the second book! :o)

*Just gotta warn yall this will be SUPER short...my mother-in-law is in town and I dont wanna ignore her! lol BUT I dont wanna ignore yall either! ;o)

Ok...LOVED IT! Wulf is cursed...people cant remember him within 5mins of meeting him! EXCEPT non-humans and people of his blood line. Cassandra is also cursed. She's Appolonian and like the Daimons she dies on her 27th b-day. And you KNOW thats gonna cause a problem when they fall for eachother... Cass needs to be protected so the end of the world wont come...dont wanna give too much away. Obviously they meet and sparks fly, but Wulf soon leaves Cass b/c he THINKS shell forget. Does she...

One thing I loved about this book was after they met they totally dreamed about eachother and thats how they had sex for the first few times! And OMG it was HOT! I loved how he ended up having to protect her and they obviously fell for eachother. There is a HUGE twist that i NEVER saw coming and was totally excited about! EPP! Cant tell you thought b/c I really want yall to read this one!

I gotta say that after I read my last Black Dagger Book (and NO Im not comparing) I was left...idk...out in the cold...idk how to say it but I thought I was gonna get my normal feel of that "world" and I felt that I didnt. So coming back to the Dark Hunter books was a great place to be. This book was excited and pulled at all your heart strings! You wont be disappointed in it and let me tell you in the HOT department...mmm...mmm gooood! ;o) It was awesome! YUM! lol

Ok how adorable was this book? Julie James is a new author for me. Her book was very young, fresh and funny! I giggled so many times in this book that I didn’t really mind that there was no real hanky panky! ;o)

We meet Taylor:
Taylor is a very driven Chicago lawyer thrown into L.A. on a big sexual harassment case. Taylor used to be engaged to your typical heartbreaker BUT caught him cheating on her a bit before they were to be married. This in turn left her having PLENTY of trust issues. While in L.A. her boss Sam talks her into taking on a personal favor of coaching THE Jason Andrews for his new movie.

We meet Jason:
Jason is your typical Star…high maintenance, womanizing, oh and the SEXIEST MAN ALIVE! ;o) Jason is at the peek of his career but needs some guidance when it comes to acting like a lawyer for his new movie. Who better to do that then the sultry Taylor Donovan! When Jason first sees Taylor in the courtroom hes intrigued! But its when the two start to bump heads that he finds out Ms. Donovan is the kind of woman he wants…and lets just say hes not used to hearing the word “no”.

Like I said this book was adorable and there are so many pluses about it…one thing would have to be the banter within the story. Jason and Taylor fighting was just too funny! Jason isn’t used to having people not bend over backwards for him and it unsettles him…but it also seems to hit the right spots b/c he almost doesn’t mind b/c its Taylors strong will! Lol Another aspect I loved was the love triangle…just as Jason is trying to pursue Taylor someone else takes notice and jumps in line! Lol Of course, its none other than Jasons film rival Scott Casey! Scott tries to sweep Taylor off her feet and ALMOST does the job. Scott’s true colors end up rearing their ugly heads and Taylor quickly falls back into Jason. I simply love love triangles…I love to see the men fight over the women!

I guess the big part of the story is that Taylor has big trust issues with men that have been players in their pastimes! Her ex Daniel and Jason seem to have that in common and when Taylor puts two and two together she quickly heads for the hills to avoid more heartbreak! BUT Jason (unlike Daniel) has actually changed his ways and is ready to start a life with her! By the end of the story you’re cheering along with everyone else to see them together! :o)

Snib Bit~
Taylor tapped her fingers nervously on her steering wheel. The thought of crawling back to Jason Andrews was just so humiliating. It infuriated her that, due to his “status” people automatically gave him such deference – that with one snap of his fingers, she was expected to smile politely and apologize to him.
As Taylor opened the door and hesitantly stood in the doorway, scanning the faces of the men seated at the bar, who in turn stared right back at her.
“Ms. Donovan!”
She turned and saw Jason Andrews near a pool table in the back. He walked over to her, pretending to be shocked.
“Why, imagine seeing you here!”
At the sight of his smug, victorious look, Taylor staggered back a few steps and fell against the door. Oh god, she couldn’t do it. With his arms folded expectantly across his chest – he did indeed know what was coming—Jason’s grin grew wider as he watched Taylor’s reaction to his greeting. This girl seriously cracked him up. At the nauseated look on her face, he half expected her to turn around and walk right out the door without one further word.
But instead, she took a deep breath.
“Don’t be coy, Mr. Andrews,” she said in that all-business tone of hers. “I know your assistant told you I was coming.”
Jason’s eyes widened innocently. At the way she’d walked over all snappy-heels, he couldn’t resist hamming it up.
“You were looking for me? Whatever can I do for you, Ms. Donovan?” Taylor stood there, staring evilly at Jason as if she wanted nothing more right then than to grab him by his cashmere zip pullover and zip it right up to his eyebrows.
“It seems I may have been a bit…hasty when I walked out of the courtroom the other day,” she told him. “My firm would very much like to work with you on your...little project.” He ignored her not-so-subtle dig at his film.
“And You?”
She responded matter-of-factly to this. “I’m willing to put my personal preferences on the matter aside.”
Jason gazed down at her. She really wasn’t affected by him at all.”

LOL! This was truly an enjoyable book and I highly recommend it as a quick and fun read! :o)
