When Erin hires Jude to help hunt down the killer he starts to get possessive of her and soon realizes things wont be temporary in their case.
Will the killer get to Erin before Jude can get to the killer? Will Erin get past her "flawed" issues and learn to love the wild side that's so natural to her kind?
I REALLY REALLY REALLY enjoy Cynthia Eden...the woman knows how to write a story that not only keeps you at the edge of your seat but panting from steamy scene to steamy scene!
Erin was a great strong character that has mommy/daddy issues. Her mother left her at her fathers doorstep b/c she couldn't shift. Its looked upon as being weak so she didn't want her. A few years later her father dies! So needless to say the girl has had it rough! but does this break her down?!?! NO! Erin is a true fighter in every sense. She went to college, got her degree and is now a ADA! PROBLEM...some psycho has started killing in the name of love for her! She cant help but run for her life! But soon he catches up!
Jude...oh Jude! Hes such a macho hero! =) Once Jude has laid his eyes on the prize (Erin) its all possessive and aggressive for this tiger! Jude forms a bond with Erin rather quickly due to her saucy nature and he also assumes shes a weakling b/c she cant shift. Does he feel threatened once he finds out shes one tough cookie...NO! Its turns this man on! ;) That's one thing I love in my hero's! I love when they aren't afraid of a strong woman. He quickly decides he'll be the strong man by his woman and help her find AND kill this lone wolf who's after her!
Like I said Cynthia Eden is pretty awesome! She seamlessly threads mystery into her love stories so that you cant even seem to book the books down! All her books are fast and easy reads so if you haven't came across any yet you better seek these puppies out! ;)

Who am I talking about...RICHELLE MEAD! I mean HELLO the woman freaking ROCKS! Read all read her Georgina Kincaid series...or even her Dark Swan books...why not try her Vampire Academy book?!?!
Let me tell you what youre missing out on...

Ok Ive already reviewed the first in this series...so heres a bit of Frostbite...you have the Dahmpir's who protect the dieing race Moroi (vampires).Rose is BFF's with Lissa. A Moroi princess. They go to school together while Rose trains ( to fight against the Striogi aka vamps turned evil) to be her guardian with her uber hot 24 year old teacher/crush Dimitri. A huge attack sends everyone into HIGH ALERT! This also brings Roses estranged mother into the picture. Jane Hathaway is a guardian pro! Rose pretty mush hates her guts for leaving her as a infant to fight but is basically headed down the same path. Anyways b/c of the huge attack Rose and all her class mates (Dimitri included ;)) are headed to a ski lodge to keep safe. While there more attacks happen close by and Rose finds out where the Striogi are hiding out! Things happen with relationships and such and Rose soon finds herself in a heap of a mess b/c 3 students are on their way to face the bad guys themselves! This is where the book gets pretty dark...***SPOILERS*** While trying to stop her friends from an idiotic ambush the 4 get taken and tortured...getting fed off of and threatened is only half of it. Rose has to make some tough decisions on how to get everyone out before lives start to get taken! I dont want to giev too much away but someone dies...it nearly breaks my dang heart!!!
This book was filled with action! Theres tons of fighting and biting! Those are two things that we all love ;) One thing I adore about these books is the foreplay! LOL!!! Ya I said it! B/c it is YA they haev to be somewhat careful with the actions that take place but let me tell you that I still get hot under the collar at the steamy parts! Oh one more thing...theres a threat for her crush on Dimitri! Theres a Moroi that has her eye on him as her guardian and he must make the choice to stay and hide his love for Rose or run the other way to guard his heart! EPP!
Ok on to Shadow Kiss! I have to say this is my favorite of all! In this book Roses sanity is totally questioned. Since the horrible kidnapping and slaughter she witnessed Rose is quite off kilter. So when she has to play guardian to Christian (Lissa her BFF's boyfriend) she finds flashes of those days haunting her. Rose starts seeing things...people...dark images reaching towards her...almost pullling her back to where she belonged. See Rose is Shadow Kissed. She got in a car accident at a young age and Lissa brought her back to life using her abilities. So technically she should be dead...aka Shadow Kissed. Once the cat is out of the bag that Rose is seeing things shes forced into therapy. She soon finds out that the reason shes seeing dead people is because they are warning her of what is to come! and when it comes...THE POOPY HITS THE FAN! Now Rose is face with two problems...1) She realizes that shes having problems with her sanity b/c shes pulling the evil forces out of Lissa...which in other instances has resulted b4 in suicide! and 2) She is faced with the horrible fact that the man she loves...might just be the man she has to kill!
Above all RM's voice totally bleeds through like it does in all her other books. These books have a certain attitude and quirkiness about them! Not to mention a HUGE sarcastic touch! ;) These books get better and better as they go along! I promise you if you pick them up you wont be sorry! They REALLY keep your attention! Not to mention you can never seem to put these books down! =) Ok go get'em tiger!

Ok Reese is a good ol' boy that was raised on a huge far and now runs it by himself after getting basically SLAMMED by his ex wife that couldnt deal with the country life. She took him to the cleaners and hes barely able to make ends meet. SO he gets the great idea of a male order bride! (lol I know I know...) He throws the add in the paper thinking no one would answer...little did he know that little miss Maddie Patterson was looking for a change! And once she meets this studly cowboy she had her heart set! Trouble was Resse was wanting to avoid two things things...1) A city-girl like his ex (and from the looks of it Maddie put the girl in city-girl) and 2) LOVE (which Maddie was SO determined to have).
So you see the problem... ;o)
Man this book was SO GREAT! I swear I read it in like a day and a half! I liked Maddie from the VERY beginning! She was pretty strong willed in her life. When she figured out what she wanted she went for it! Once she met Reese and came to visit the farm he quickly judged her and thought she couldnt handle the country life...BUT SHE SHOWED HIM! The simple life of the country was exactly what she needed! Something drew her to Resse and it wasnt just his hard, hot body...it was his manners, his love for his farm, his want for kids and his deep rooted love she knew shed have a time bringing out.
Now Reese...oh Reesey-poo...*sigh...let me tell you...it was a love/hate relationship with this man and me. Like I said Resse was a good ol' boy...old fashioned in every sense! Which in some ways is good. I mean after all I too am a southern (NOT country but southern) girl. So I REALLY appreciate the charm our boys have...BUT being sexist is a total turn off...and let me tell you Resse lit a fire under my cute little fanny! There were times that he would just lay into Maddie like she shouldve known to have dinner on the table the second he came in from work, or that she should tell him everywhere she goes or that she couldnt do "manly" things...well *gagging sounds, that put me off...but thats also the beauty of this story! Reese totally learns his lesson. I dont wanna say HOW he learns everything but lets just say Maddie is JUST what he needs...he makes him question everything that he says he didnt want...she takes it all away and THEN he realizes whats most important!
One other thing that cant go unmentioned is...HELLO TO THE HOT LOVIN'!!!!! I mean its like they were cats in heat! lol At times it was sweet and soft then at other times it burnt m,y retinas just reading the words! I mean...they did it in the field, in his truck, in the house...JEEZ! There was NOT LACKING in the steam department here folks! ;) Oh one other thing I have to say that piggy backs hot hot Resse is...well he had NO TROUBLE letting Maddie know how much he wanted her! I mean jeez from like the first day he was telling her how he wanted to push up her skirt! LOLOLOLOL!!!!
Ok ok so ya this is a oldy but a goody so go and get it! You WONT be sorry!

In book two of The Midnight Trilogy we meet Todd Banks. He is partner to our hero in book one (Colin) and has been under wraps about all the paranormal activity. When murders start and Caras purse is found in a nearby dumpster all fingers start to point her way!
...In comes Todd...tall...lean...SEXY AS HECK! Man meat on a stick! BUT a big ol' temper to follow...he suspects Cara is in on the murders and knows something is up when she starts to sweat! Colin knows what she is...A SUCCUBUS! I was uber excited knowing this b/c really Ive only read two different series about Succubus' s! But anyways...so he is totlaly hot for her (b/c her succubus aura) but he cant help but suspect her of murder! When things finally get hot and heavy it comes down to if he believes her or not...AND once he finds out WHAT exactly she is...we wonder if he can handle that hurtle and love Cara! Then their is the murderer...and when he starts to get closer and closer to Cara things start to get ugly!
Ok I seriously loved this book. In the first book Colin (a changeling) obviously was aggressive...and in this second book Todd is no exception even though hes human! Todd is a hot freaking cop that follows his intuition. And when it brings him to Cara, I believe its the first time hes thrown for a loop. Hes had other gals before...being sorta a ladies man...BUT with Cara all things change.
Now, Cara is a succubus that has taken an oath of celibacy! I KNOW I KNOW...how can she...well succubus go for lust right!???! Well she sings...so she kinda feeds off the people in the crowd. So ya he comes to see her sing and question her! The great thing about this story is that they both try to fight getting involved with each other...Cara tries even harder towards the end. Todd ends up giving up and seeks her out in more ways than one! ;o)
One aspect Ive never came across was that Cara could reach into Todd's dreams...CE did this a few times in the book and left you panting at the end of each dream. This book ended up being much more erotic than I anticipated! ;o) You'll love this one! So got check it out! I for one cant wait to continue on my Cynthia Eden journey!

Ok this was a GREAT book so Im gonna give a small run through without TOTALLY giving things away so it makes you wanna read it! ;op~
So lets begin by talking about why Elizabeth is forced into marriage a few times in this book. B/c really it is the root of the problems that arise…first off her parents are dead. BUT of course they left behind all sorts of gambling debts. So Elizabeth’s half brother Roberts try’s to talk her into marrying to save the household. Elizabeth is extremely beautiful so it shouldn’t be a hard task…in fact she had about 15 offers within only a few short week! But once she goes to a weekend at a questionable womans house she meets Ian and things fly right out the door. Of course she tries to keep her head on straight but when Ian pushes and pushes she falls under his spell. I love how innocent Elizabeth is in this book. At one point (way later) she talks about how babies are made…you lay in bed and kiss! Lol LOVE IT! Ok anyways like I said before they get caught together and Elizabeth is ruined…looses her fiancé (that Ian didn’t know about) and goes back home broken hearted. But so does Ian! He confessed his love to her! Which was quick but very strong.
Did I mention there’s a duel??? Oh yes a duel!! Its between Robert and Ian!!! I wont tell you how that plays out but its pretty amusing! ;op
Ok years later a still ruined Elizabeth is alone…her brother has abandoned her and now her uncle is forcing her to marry. He calls upon all her old callers and Ian gets thrown into the mix once again! Basically her uncle is trying to now sell her to the highest bidder and Elizabeth constructs a plan with an old friend (Alexandra from Something Wonderful) to sabotage all her callers! When she finally gets to Ian hes furious and hates the bare site of her. But under that hot gaze of his she starts to feel the spark that once lit her on fire!
They go through the mating dance (man I read too many paranormals lol) and start back on the track of getting Elizabeth back into society etc…BUT when a unsuspecting Robert shows back up one step away from his death bed Elizabeth is forced once again to make a decision that will rock everyones world…can she trust Roberts word when he says Ian is the root of all his misfortunes…or is Robert trying to get even?!?!
Torn between family and love…this book was a gem! I loved every step I took with Elizabeth! She has so many trust issues in this book you would think it would drive you insane but it doesn’t! This girl goes from innocent to knowledge in less than 300 pages! I love in JM’s books that the characters ALWAY grows so much! Both Ian and Elizabeth learn lessons…I laughed (a lot) I cried (ok I got teary) and I got HOT HOT HOT! ;o)
GO GET IT!!! You will be glad you did! ;o)

Alright…Ill begin with saying I gobbled this book up in one full day! Start to finish baby…it was great!
Sarah fell for Rome the minute she seen him years ago when both were right out of college…problem was Rome fell for Sarah’s best friend Diane. Rome and Diane lived happily ever after…until one day taking their kids out Diane and both boys get struck by a drunk driver and die. About a year later while cleaning out the house to sell Rome calls Sarah to go through some of Diane’s stuff…Diane and Sarah were more sisters than friends so the fact she loved…yes LOVED Rome was a terrible secret to have to keep. But she did none the less. Once faced with Rome again all those old time feelings came back. What she didn’t expect was that her feelings were reciprocated! As both struggle with this new found relationship we get to see many many emotions!
I refuse to do spoilers for this book…EXCEPT THIS ONE…Rome ends up (within the first quarter of the book) asking Sarah to marry him! He felt it was his duty to take care of Sarah b/c she meant SO MUCH to his dead wife. I tell you this b/c this book is SO MUCH MORE than about him asking her. It digs a lot deeper into the lives…the SOULS of these characters! This book is about moving on with your life even when you want to curl up and die!
I really just recommend you to read this. I’ve read a ton of reviews putting this book down. I think it takes a good author to portray a new love while keeping the love of a deceased still in the hearts of the characters. LH did a wonderful job so here is a great little snippet to dampen your pallet!
Snippet~ "Sarah Harper," she said briskly. "Sarah, this is Rome," a deep voice said by way of identification. Her heart gave a jump and hung in her throat. She didn't need to hear his name to know who was on the other end of the line. She knew his voice as well as she knew her own, and the clipped accent that hadn't softened despite years in the south would always give him away. But she swallowed the lump, straightened her spine, and pretended this was just another business call. "Yes, Mr. Matthews?" He made an impatient sound. "Damn it, don't call me that! It's all right in the office, but this...this isn't business." Sarah swallowed again, but she couldn't say anything. Had she conjured him up? Had thinking about him produced this call? After all, it had been months since he'd said anything to her other than a polite "good morning" whenever he came into the office to talk to Mr. Graham. "Sarah?" He was really impatient now, and his rising ire was revealed in the way he barked her name. "Yes. I'm still here," she managed. "I'm selling the house," he said abruptly. "I'm boxing up Diane's things...and the boys'.... I'm going to give them all to the Salvation Army. But I found a box of things that Diane had kept from high school, stuff that the two of you did together, pictures, and I thought you'd like to go through it. If you want any of it, you can have it. If not...." He didn't finish the sentence, but she knew. If not, then he'd burn it. He'd take all of those memories and destroy them. She winced inside at the thought. "Yes," she said hoarsely, forcing the word out. "Yes, I want it." "I'm about to leave now, to go to the house and finish packing. You can get the box anytime tonight." "I'll be there. Thank you," she whispered, and he hung up, leaving her with the phone still pressed to her ear and the dial tone buzzing. Her hand was shaking as she replaced the receiver, and suddenly she noticed that she was no longer sitting. At some point during the conversation, tension had propelled her to her feet. Quickly she leaned down to get her purse from the lower drawer of the desk, then locked the desk and turned out the lights, locking the door behind her as she left. It wasn't only her hand that was shaking; her entire body was quivering. Talking with Rome always did that to her. Even after years of training herself not to think about him, of not allowing herself to even dream about him, just hearing his voice had the power to reduce her to jelly. Working for the same company was bad enough; she'd even transferred to a different department so she wouldn't see him as often, but that had eventually backfired on her: He'd been promoted steadily through the ranks and was now one of the corporate vice presidents. Her position as secretary to the senior vice president threw her constantly into contact with him; the only salvation she'd had was that his attitude toward her was strictly business, and she'd forced herself to treat him in the same manner. Ok heres the deets. Elena is (in simpler terms) a vampire bounty hunter. She kicks ass and takes names! The head honcho/archangel Raphael wants Elena on his side in bringing down a rouge archangel! Elena is deathly afraid of committing to the task. Raphael can make Elena do things...think things...and could easily kill her. YET they are both strangely attracted to each other. Elena tries to keep her distance but Raphael is drawing her in day by day.
So this arch angel has basically went cray cray and is feeding and killing everything and everyone in site. From what I understood (b/c at times it could get confusing) hes turned into a vamp and is bat shit crazy! This is a big secret among the world that archangels can turn rouge so the need to find him is dire.
Going from murder to murder Elena starts the break under the pressure. You learn she has seen lots of death and blood in her life. Shes also been shoved out of her families life. They think of her as total trash and that breaks your heart! Even though she is a tough Guild Hunter she has a weak heart for the casualties. I liked that about Elena...it made her very easy to relate to. Also you get to meet her best friends that are in the Guild. The relationships between the three friends is very easy and fun to follow.
I love how Raphael was really scared that Elena made him start to "feel". He was beginning to feel that he was starting to break as an archangel and they soon too would have to hunt him down but really it was his love making him feel human. Once he starts taking up for Elena and his feelings are shown past the normal lust Elena falls head over heels in love.
The final showdown was a biggie for me! I was at the edge of my seat with anticipation as to what would happen. And in the end you were holding your breath thinking of what really happened to Elena. I dont want to give ANYTHING away b/c its such an awesome book but lets just say the ending was a surprise to me!
Snippet~ Raphael came to a standstill. “Do you intend to use that knife?” His words were ice. She felt blood scent the air and realized it was her own.
Looking down, she found her hand clenching on the blade of the knife she’d drawn instinctively from the sheath at her ankle. He was forcing her to hurt herself, showing her she was nothing but a toy for him to play with. Instead of fighting, she squeezed harder. “If you want me to do a job for you, fine. But I won’t be manipulated.”
“You might be able to control me,” she said, in response to the silent mockery on his face, “but you need me, Elena Deveraux, not one of your little vampire flunkies. I’m ready to walk away without a backward look, return the deposit you paid the Guild.”
“That,” he said, picking up a napkin and wrapping it around her hand, “is not an option.”
Startled by the unexpected act, she closed her hand to help slow the bleeding. “Why not?”
“I want you to do the retrieval.” he responded.
Relief began to wash through her like the rain she could feel so close. But no, it was his scent, that fresh bite of water. “All I need to start with, is something the vampire wore recently. If you have a general location, even better. If not, I’ll get the Guild’s computer geniuses on tracking public transport and bank records etcetera, while I hunt on the ground.”
“You mistake me, Elena. It’s not a vampire I want you to find.”
That halted her in her tracks. “You’re looking for a human? Well, I can do it but I really don’t have any advantage over a good private investigator.”
“Try again.”
Not vampire. Not human. That left…“An angel?” she whispered. “No.”
“No,” he agreed and, once again, she felt the cool brush of relief. It lasted until he said, “An archangel.”
Elena stared at him. “You’re joking.”
Her stomach curdled at the reference to the Cadre—if Raphael was any example of their lethal power, she never wanted to meet that august body. “Why are you tracking an archangel?”
“That, you do not need to know.” His tone was final. “What you do need to know is that if you succeed in finding him, you’ll be rewarded with more money than you can hope to spend in your lifetime.”

This book to me is put on a different plane than the other books by NS. The Psy/Changeling series is among my fav out there but this Guild Hunter book I feel is coming in right behind it. It you are looking for something thats not 100% mushy romance but is drenched with action and excitement this one is for you! Now dont get me wrong...this book was HAWT but it was more of a here and there touch. Its nice sometimes to have a break from IN YOUR FACE romance isnt it???

In the second story we get into Wade and Sam’s story! We met the two in Double Play as side characters that had a past! I was super excited to see them get their own book b/c let me tell you I believe it was even hotter than the first!
Sam is the Heats publicist and Wade is the infamous play boy catcher on the team. The two shared a wild night of passion while stuck in an elevator at a hotel during an away game. Since then both have thought of nothing but the other person…even though they weren’t able to react on their feelings. Now Wade has put himself in a pickle by having Tia (the crazy stalker from the first book) claim to be carrying his BABY! So Sam being who she is steps in to save the day by playing “girlfriend” and making Wade look like a stable man. The problem arises when the fine line of pretend and reality gets blurred. Will the two be able to call it quits after the deadline of a month? Or will they finally give into their true feelings?
I loved how in this story the h/h already has a past! Like I said they had hot sex in an elevator but after that night avoided each other at all costs. Sam went along with her work as did Wade. At one point in the story Sam tells wade that it took her a year to get over their actions of that night and my little heart squeezed! Wade is TOTALLY scared of commitment! He’s never even attempted but who could blame him. His mother and father both were drunks and never had a true relationship with their son. This bleeds into his life now. Going girl to girl Wade is anything but ready for a relationship. That’s what’s so great b/c it seemed it took the right woman to show him the real man he truly was! Sam was that woman!
Besides us getting to see our fav’s from book one we also get a few new side characters that really made the story more dynamic! One of these characters in Tag, Sam’s nephew. Tags father is Jeremy (the baddie from book 1) and hes :trying” to get his life in order by going to rehab. So what does he do? Ship his 10 year old son to Sam to watch for 3 months. It was hard at first for Sam to crack Tag’s harsh exterior but when she realized the hardships he’s faced she soon gets to his level and they find a common ground to walk on. Their relationship warmed my heart! By the end of the book they are really like mother and son! Also Tag and Wade really got along. Wade saw a bit of himself in Tag which helped him to steer him towards being a good boy and straightening his act up.
Another great character was Wades dad John. John was a drunk all Wades life…all the way up until he sought Wade out to seek his help. Wades puts him off for years. Just shoving money at his father seemed to ease the pain inside him but when his father gets serious about changing his life he tells Wade all he wants is him! I loved when John came into the picture! He was funny and interesting. You got to see Wade heal old wounds and grow! :o)
My last thing I have to mention would have to be the chemistry between Wade and Sam! I loved their relationship! They banked on it always being pretend when inside they knew there was something more. They could never help themselves when they were around each other! Sam made Wade grown up while Wade loosened Sam up! (No pun intended lol) It was great seeing this small little family start to form between the 4 characters! Sam, Wade, Tag and John are by no means perfect but in each other found a strength that no one could break! :*)
Snib Bit~ “When were you going to tell me they want us to do this boyfriend/girlfriend thing for a whole month?” “You heard?” she asked in surprise. She’d been asked to talk him into it. “I work with a bunch of women, Sam. They tell all. Is your father’s okay with it?” he asked carefully. With good reason. Her father was one of the owners of the Heat. “Yes,” she said quietly. “My father thinks it’s a good idea.” “So they’re willing to pimp out their princess when it suits them.” Ouch. But the answer was yes, a McNead was expected to stick to the pack. She’d known that by the time she could talk in full sentences. “It’s just an illusion.” “It’s an entire month.” The reminder made her stomach quiver. An entire month of being his girlfriend. “We’re grown-ups.” “Really?” His stark green gaze was more genuine curiosity than sarcasm. “Because we’ve not spent more than two minutes together without snarling at each other.” “Well, except for the elevator,” he said. Also true, and her stomach executed a double gainer with a twist as the memory flew back, hot and sexy, resurrected by nothing more than the sound of his voice and the sudden sleepy look in his eyes. It’d happened last season. The Heat had just lost, bad. The press had been ruthless, and her father had been pissed at her for somehow not being Super Woman. She’d been in desperate need of some alone time. What she’d gotten instead was stuck in an elevator on the way to her hotel room with Wade and a couple little bottles of airplane Scotch, and her pity party for one had turned into a naked party for two. Santa Barbara wasn’t called the American Riviera for nothing, and she watched as they passed four-thousand-foot peaks covered in unique and beautiful chaparral and sandstone outcrops. “So we’re good?” she asked quietly. Dories stuck with a crap routine life with a crap routine job. Looking for excitement is second in her life but becomes head first when she scores a free ticket on a private ship for a vacation! Dorie meets a handsome baseball player who’s shown some interest, a few silly and colorful girlfriends, and one HOT (yet moody) French speaking doctor. Everything is full sails ahead until a storm hit, someone is murdered, and the boat capsizes! Now being stuck on a island with a possible killer has given Dorie the adventure she wasn’t quite looking for!
THIS BOOK WAS WHAT I NEEDED! After my recent venture to the Nerd series I was bummed out and needed a good, funny pick me up! This book did the job!
I love how Dorie had this dull and drab life and with one change (her getting the ticket) she seemed to want to fix everything! See Dorie went to school for design and yet she was only working at a department store. She realized she wasn’t living her life to its fullest extent but when she receives the ticket she looks at it as a sign to change it up! I love my heroines to take full control of their lives! Strong badass girls ROCK!
Now problem comes in when two VERY different guys take notice to Dorie and she can’t seem to choose. Andy the baseball player is sweet, hot and rich. Yet on the other side of the spectrum is Mr. Grumpy Gorgeous doctor Christian. The name speaks for itself! Hes stuck on this boat working off debts as a hot doctor that gets nothing more than splinters or sea sickness. The guys pretty much have a pissing contest to see who can come out on top! Lol
And speaking of splinters I must bring up one of my fav parts in the book. Poor Dorie (like me) is very clumsy! The day she first arrives she falls backwards and get a splinter on her tush! Lol She too embarrassed to get anyone to help her to take it out (esp a hot doctor she’s crushing on) so she leave it there. Problem is that is starts to cause a big problem with her sitting! ;op Finally when Christian realizes she has a splinter he tricks her by sexing her up then removing it! Lol BUT OMG when he starts to caress her afterwards…and kiss the booboo! YOWZA! ;o)
Lets talk about the killer fro a tick. Right before the boat tips Christian and Dorie find a bloodied room but no body! They can only think the worse of the situation and assume hes dead. Lots of the crew and guests are worried about a killer being amongst them but its not in the front running of the story. You do get to find out what happened by the end and I gotta say I was shocked! I never knew who the killer was or even thought his (or her) way!
Snib Bit~ Day Two on deserted island without cookies, and it’s not pretty. “How’s the patient?”Ah, there he was, the bane of her existence. She knew this because just his voice made her nipples go all happy.Damn nipples.She felt him sit in the sand at her side but she didn’t look at him. Nope, looking at him was a really bad idea because then her brain would begin that painful tug-o-war. Want him. Hate him. She sighed. “Go away.” “Ah. You’re feeling better.” He lay next to her so that his arm brushed hers, the one she would definitely sell for that bag of chocolate chip cookies. “Question, do you ever think about chocolate?” He turned his head and looked at her. He was all hard, lean, sinewy lines to her soft, curvy ones. She imagined if she pointed out how different they were, he’d say he liked those differences very much. “I think about other things,” he finally said. “Like?”His arm shifted, just barely pressing into the side of her breast. And more than just her nipples got happy. Bad. Bad body. “I’m tired.” “Here’s something to wake you up.” Instead of taking the hint and leaving, he rolled to his side, facing her. “Our bet.” Oh, no. “We are not going to talk about the bet.” No way. “That’s because you’ve lost.” “You cheated.” “You could just pay up,” he suggested.That thought shot excitement directly into certain areas of her anatomy that had no business getting excited. She closed her eyes, a bad idea because then her other senses took over. She had no idea how he managed to smell like heaven on earth while on a deserted island, but he did. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she finally said.He just laughed softly. Bastard. “You didn’t hit your head that hard,” he said. “You know.” “You’re not going away. Why aren’t you going away?” she asked desperately. Dancing. Naked. Beneath this very star lit sky. “If you were nice, you’d go.”He lifted a broad shoulder. “Never claimed to be nice.”Also true. Damn it.“Plus we’re stuck on an island,” he pointed out. “Just how far away do you think I can go?”Keeping her eyes closed, she sighed again. Because she really hated it when he was right.
This book overall was a blast! A light fluffy read that steamed up the windows in my house! Lol This book is getting reprinted in September 2010! Make sure to grab you a fresh copy! :o)

First off I gotta say Ive lived under a rock and haven’t read ANY of Nora Roberts books except the Bride Quartet. I didn’t even know she wrote Paranormal-ish stuff! Lol So when my friend told me about a few trilogies of hers I had to see what it was all about.
I have to say that I pick a good place to start! These books not only had romance but they gave me the hebbie jebbies! Lol
The story begins with three very different boys that have been growing up together all their lives. The 3 best friends all were born on the same day so it was a given they would ring in their 10th b-day together! They decided to do that at a spookiest place in town, the Pagan Stone. It was rumored that evil things lie at the stone so the boys wanted to get their big boy pants on and face the music together! ;o) As the night goes on the boys make a decision to become blood brothers. This involves cutting their hands and mixing their blood. When this happens they released a fearsome evil that ends up haunting the town and its residents every 7th month or the seventh year for an entire 7 days! Suicide, rape and murder is nothing new within the 7 that occurs and the once boys, now men meet every year to help protect the town from evil. Year’s later three very different women end up in the town and find themselves in the mix. They cant help but wonder if it’s a coincidence or just fate that led them to this haunted place, but all they know is that they must help this town…or the men they love (and possibly themselves) will cease to exist.
Like I said this was such a great little trilogy. The romance was sport on and steamy, the writing was superb, and the little jackass of a demon that ran around town made me pee my pants! Lol I loved that the boys and the girls all came from different places in their lives and yet seemed to mix well by the end. This book isn’t just about good verses evil, its also about relationships and friendships! Warms the heart! :o)
I ate this trilogy up in a few short days...you should too!

Omg adorable! This book is not only filled with hot hot lovin but heart wrenching scenes.
The kids are still dealing with their parents loss and so is Charlotte. Shes been without a hubby for about a years now and is struggling to keep the act up for not only her kids but for herself. She loved her husband but has never truly been able to keep Joe out of her mind. I love that SD didnt down play the hubby in the story. Like I said she loved him...where things perfect, no but things rarely are. You get a full feel for their relationship and even a peek into the kids relationship with their father and the growing one with Joe (once he enters the story).
Once Joe is accepted it becomes a big problem that he hasnt opened up and told Char his little problem with the druglords that are after him. And as you can expect once they do come after him the kids and Char get in the way of their plans. Joe shows his true feelings for Char and her kids and saves the day like every great hero does!
This book totally rocked my socks off! And just to give you a heads up there are some HOT HOT HOT scenes in here! Lets just say at one point Joe sees Char having a bit TOO much fun while the kids are away! WOOWEE! GO and get this stinking book!

A total waste of my time. Eh...I would read it maybe if I didn't have anything else to read. I liked it even though it had room for improvements. You should go by this book! It was entertaining and very worth it! SUPERB WRITING! You wont be disappointed! Go get it!
