You know I was going to say this series is a guilty pleasure but really when you say that its almost about something that isnt 100% wonderful and it just kinda hits the sport at that certain time. But THESE books, I must say, always seem to hit my spot every time!
Ok, last we heard Zoeys friend were pissed at her for keeping so much back and she cheated on her uber hot, and now vamp, boyfriend Erik. Shes pretty much alone in every aspect so your a bit heartbroken as the story opens up. But boy do things change. We get a new student that ends up totally falling for Zoey...his name is James Stark! He is an archer vamp in training! He ends up rejecting the change and is super sad to see him leave...BUT of course he cant leave without a kiss from ZOEY! HELLO?!?!?! Ya...we end up seeing him later and I do know he stays in the storyline for quite some time (which Im totally excited about).
The cool thing about this story is that so much shit hits the fan! Zoey starts getting attacked by these crows and later talks to her grandmother about it. Turns out the crows are like half human half crow and Nefert is on their side. Shes trying to take over and in an odd premonition from our human?/vamp? Aphrodite, we see a FEW ways that Zoey is going to...DIE?!?! GASP!!!!
O...M...G...so you thought that was the only drama going on? Well Erik comes back to help teach one of Zoeys classes and boy do things get confusing and a bit odd when he ends up kissing her in front of the entire class! Its clear things are still hot and heavy between the two but Erik seem to cant find a way to forgive Zoey for her infidelities!
The end...SPOILER ALERT...is that Nefert and these bird people take over and Zoey and the gang have to end up running for their lives and leaving the school! So now its a race against time to try to fix all thats wrong. Will Zoeys love life ever get fixed? Will the gang and Zoey defeat Neferet once and for all...? And will Stark coming back play with Zoeys head?!?! OH IM SURE IT WILL! Epp! These books are yummy to the taste and dont get fooled by them being YA...they seem to fill every need! ;o)
