...MAN someone make me feel better. Ok Ive NEVER NOT finished a book before so I'm gonna make this quick.
Ok just to dish on the points I got to that I didn't like...The concept of the book sounded like JUST what I wanted to read. Ive never read SA so I was really excited when I got this book. It sat on my shelf for the perfect time...I wanted a light/funny/sexy read...what anyone would want in a contemp romance...but what I got was unfortunately (for me) just an attempt.
The characters weren't very great at all.
You have Sam...he is a bounty hunter/ex military guy whos partner got hurt and now he blames it on himself so hes trying to buy this lodge for them to have...idk. Kinda a weak background there. Then you have Catherine...the school teacher who is everything her family is not. Straight laced and sophisticated. Her sis's name is Kaylee and she is a wild child! She is the reason Cat ends up getting arrested by Sam. Sam comes to apprehend "Kaylee" but gets her twin instead. Sam and Cat spend time getting back to Florida on a Greyhound bus...Cat trys to get away plenty of times and you can tell SA attempted at these parts to be funny. Now dont get me wrong the idea was there but I felt it didnt get pulled off. Oh and in the mean time some mob guy is trying to kill Kaylee but also has the wrong twin so Cat is having to watch her back abotu that too!
Basically I found myself bored and plainly just waiting for SOMETHING to happen. I REALLY dont recommend this book to anyone BUT I will say this is one of her older books so MAYBE shes gotten better...HEY if she has PLEASE tell me b/c I actually happen to have another one of her books called Be My Baby and im a bit nervous to pick it up.
Ok so needless to say I couldn't go past 135pgs! Sorry guys...I guess better luck next time?!?!
